Taste of Summer Returns to Broken Arrow
Blue Bell Ice Cream & Family Fun on July 16
Taste of Summer 2016 is set to return to Broken Arrow on Saturday, July 16th. The Taste of Summer festival will feature summertime fun for the entire family. The festival takes place from 10a to 3p at the Central Park Community Center on Main Street in Broken Arrow.
Taste of Summer is a family friendly event where attendees can enjoy all-you-can-eat ice cream from Blue Bell Creameries. The event also features:
• Live entertainment from local performers
• FREE Kids Crafts & Coloring Sheets
• FREE Kids Zone with games and prizes
• Vintage Car Show
• Marketplace with boutique style shopping
• Food Vendors
• Kid train rides
• Mascot parade featuring several area mascots
“The Broken Arrow Chamber is excited for Taste of Summer 2016. We love that we are able to partner with Blue Bell Ice Cream and to bring this event to our community. Taste of Summer is a sweet treat to kids and adults – everyone will enjoy this fun summer celebration,” stated April Sailsbury, senior vice president of the BA Chamber.
New to Taste of Summer this year will be the Treasure Dig and the Steak Cook Off event. The Treasure Dig is a huge sandbox filled with gold and silver coins. Kids ages 12 and under are invited to play in the sandbox and dig for their lucky coin. The steak cook off will features teams from all over Oklahoma grilling their favorite steak to be named the Steak Master of Broken Arrow.
Tickets will be available for pre-sale beginning June 27, 2016. Buying tickets ahead of time is highly recommended – ticket sales locations are listed on tasteofsummerba.com. The event is $5 for ages 3 and over, 2 and under are free.
