Late Start Wednesdays

Early in 2016, the board of education approved plans for embedded collaboration time for teachers in the school week. Documented research has shown that there is a strong correlation between teacher collaboration and student achievement, and embedded collaboration is the number one most effective strategy for improving student performance. This new format, known as Late Start Wednesdays, will change the start time for students at all school sites to 30 minutes later on Wednesdays only.

For additional information about how these changes impact your child, please contact the principal at your student’s school. For a list of frequently asked questions regarding these changes visit www.baschools.org/schooltimes.
Transportation Changes

Due to budget cuts, the transportation department is making changes to its routing system and will rely on parental transport for those students living within 1.5 miles of their zoned school site. Additionally, in order to reduce bus stops/turnarounds and promote student safety, bus stops and routes will change. For more information, please click here. BAPS continues to make safety its number one priority, and every routing decision made has been based on student safety. Questions and concerns can be addressed by Transportation Services at BAbus@baschools.org.

The transportation bus route link has been temporarily disabled. Routing information for 2016-2017 bus route will be available after August 1. For more information, please click here.
Annual, Required Student Information Form – available soon!

For many years, parents were required to complete paper forms for each of their students. These forms will be combined and updated, and parents will be able to complete the annual, required forms online! This form must be submitted by midnight on Friday, August 5, 2016, in order for your student to obtain their class schedule or homeroom teacher in August. If the form has not been submitted by August 5, the primary legal guardian for the student must attend Schedule Pickup or Meet Your Teacher to complete the form on site. Please check back soon to access this form.
